Quantex disposable pumps can dispense in either direction with equal efficiency.
Reverse cycling enables the disposable pump to dispense in either direction simply by changing the direction of rotation of the motor. This can easily be implemented into a dispense program. Reverse cycling is particularly useful when preventing liquids from congealing or drying on the outlet. A reverse cycle sucks the last drips back into the pump sealing them from air ingress. Click here to see a video showcasing the BIB-19 pump with cruciform valve attached to the outlet. Yoghurt is pumped through the valve and a reverse cycle sucks last drips back into the pump preventing any unwanted drying of the liquid on the pump outlet.
Reverse cycling is used for spray applications using the Quantex disposable pump. The reverse cycle at the end of dispense shuts off the spray cleanly eliminating any tail off in pressure or drips at the end of dispense.
